A NOVAC technical meeting was held February 4 – 8 in in Gothenburg, Sweden. The meeting was attended by several members of the Steering Committee and the Software and Hardware Working Groups. Two main topics were discussed at the meeting. For one, a new version of the NOVAC instrument was planned. In this new version, we will need to move to a new spectrometer, as the Ocean Optics SD2000 is no longer being produced. Secondly, implementation of several new features in the NOVAC software were discussed. These new features will include automated determination of BrO/SO2 ratios as well as automatic spectrometer calibration routines. Detailed meeting notes are available at the link below.
